Editing interactive video

Submitted by gpakat on Fri, 10/30/2015 - 00:23

when editing an interactive video inside a course presentation and entering the video editor starting to edit the interactions, the video stays playing in the background. this has the result of two videos playing at the same time during editing of the interactions. It can be solved partially by opening the video editor and then closing it again which causes the video to stop playing. Then the video editor can be opened again without the video starting or staying to play. It's a usability and performance issue.

Thank you for reporting this.

Thank you for reporting this. I don't think the H5P core team will fix this very soon, but hopefully someone else will? We've designed a full screen editor for a customer where the entire experience will be quite different and should fix this problem as well. We're now waiting for a go ahead on implementing this, but it might be delayed til 2016.

video issue

there are a couple of workarounds, such as to include a label with a pause in the video. The other one is to switch to another slide and switch back.should be not so difficult to stop the video playing (which is a nice feature) when double clicking the interactive video object.

I think the problem is that it is actually playing in the first place. It shouldn't be.

Yes, it should do so for the end user, but shouldn't be autoplaying in the editor mode.
