Hey Everybody!

Forgive me if I posted this incorrectly...it is my first event post on Drupal.org

I am very excited to invite everyone to the Fitness/Social events coming up on July 13-16th before-during-and after Drupal Camp Asheville!

Everyone is welcome; if you have built a site in Drupal, you can contribute. We will split into groups and work on Drupal core issues. Bring your laptop. For new folks: you can get a head start also by making an account on Drupal.org, getting some contribution tools, and developers can install git before coming and git clone Drupal 8 core.

We will also be working on supporting COD for an offical 1.0 release.

Is anyone interested in attending a meeting on Jun 25th?

One of my sites is experiencing a Spam Issue through their contact web form. I know there are several module options out there like Captcha, ReCaptcha, Mollom and HoneyPot (to name a few). Does anyone have a any feedback on which one they feel is the most effective?

For those of you who haven't signed up for the TriadDug group on Meetup, you should do so, as it now seems to be the preferred method of getting the word out on monthly meetups and events.

I recently set up a local development environment on my computer with the idea that it would be better to develop offline. Faster, no exposure to the outside, develop even when away from the internet. It seemed like a good idea.

When I tried to move my newly developed web site to the host provider. Everything broke.

I had created a new database on the host with PHPMyAdmin and imported the data from my local MYSQL. I changed the site.php and settings.php to match. But it still broke.

Benjamin Franklin knew how to run a printing press. Because of that, he was a powerful force for positive change. There is a lot I would like to share with the world, but the new "printing press" is the Internet and I have not yet mastered it.

I must say that I was somewhat discouraged at the last meeting as to whether Drupal can do what I want.
The reason I got into Drupal was because it is supposed to be the most flexible and extensible.

Is there any interest in reviving this User Group? It looks like it's been dormant for almost two years (last meeting was shortly before I moved here). I'd be willing to co-facilitate if that's what it takes.

I have several Drupal multisites -- some D6 and some D7 -- on WebFaction. I would like to set up a cron job that will run cron for each site in the multisite list (or possibly two cron jobs -- one for D6 and one for D7). I could use some help -- anyone out there willing to help me?

I'm doing some freelance work for a company that may attend this workshop if they can find enough people to help split the cost.

I am currently taking three graduate courses online; I'm working towards an M.A. in strategic communication (with a focus on digital media).

For one of my courses, I need 12 people to take an online survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5SWDDDV

Of those 12, three agree to be interviewed. Of those three interviews, one is videotaped. (I don't have software to tape an online interview, so the interview will have to be in-person at my house.) Interviews will last 20-30 minutes.

Any plans for a July meeting? I need about a week's notice so I can put it on my work calendar.

I work until 6 p.m., so if the meeting starts at 6:30, I have to get off work early to make it to the meeting on time -- and if I want time off from work, I have to put the "time off" announcement on my work calendar well in advance.

How about June 20 at Kville library?
