My site distributes central content via 3rd parties who each manage manage a content group (eg groups A, B ...).

Each group manager manages a group of members with whom they have a commercial relationship. (eg A manages group A with members A1, A2 ...).

Group managers supplement central content with shared group content AND add specific commercially sensitive content nodes (eg X1, X2...) which are INDIVIDUALLY TARGETED at each member in their group. (Eg A may create node AX1 which should only be readable by A1, AX2 which is only readable by A2 .... etc).

How close to "production" ready is V2? Obviously the answer to that changes from day to day, but as of this date, there are not that many people using v2. Begs the question: with a new website under development with expected rollout in 2 to 3 months, should we develop 1.x or 2.x?

It is really a question of what does V2 bring to the table that V1 doesn't have, how buggy is V2, and how quickly is V2 development progressing.

I'm new to both Drupal and this group, so hello to everybody.

I've got a new project (and new CMS direction at work) that requires me to create (or replicate from both Wordpress and ExpressionEngine) various communities of practice within Organic Groups.

I have almost no control over the server setup and am required to keep everything within the context of an individual group. We're also using Drupal Commons as a based, so Drupal 6.

Hello folks, I've been trying to get a handle on my perspective as the latest maintainer of OG's 6.x branch. There is an entire, gigantic issue queue with ideas of what's wrong and where folks would like it to go. As I've tried to curate the queue, I've come to realize there should probably be some kind of discussion.

OG6's sun has already started to set, but it remains in use on thousands of websites. It's biggest challenges are not in exploring new features, but in supporting existing websites and new, stability-critical D6 websites by cleaning up the many warts: unexpected or incomplete behaviors, usability-challenged workflows, performance improvements, low-impact integrations with common modules (Features, etc), and if possible more thorough coverage by automated tests.

As mentioned in the Issue Queue, 6.x-2.2, with a slow year of enhancements and bugfixes, is almost ready. All that waits is fixing the broken tests and reverting Notifications 4.x support back to the more stable, known Notifications 2.x line.

What should be done after that?

This is a question pertaining to OG 7.

I am trying to show a pane (using Views and Panels) which will include fields from the user profile of the Group Manager on a organic groups page. I am trying to determine the best way to filter only the OG manager and not any one else from the group (currently everyone appears in the block).

I've tried many different relationships in Views 3 and various filters based upon those relationships, but so far nothing :(

Any hints?
