Using JQuery UI to Add Effects to a Drupal Site

Posted by tdodson on June 30, 2012 at 4:30pm

Hi Everyone,

I just finished the first part of an article on my site about how to use JQuery UI to add a modal dialog box (or the like) to a Drupal site. This may be old hat to some folks on this list, but I thought might be of some benefit to share it with intermediate and beginning drupalistas: http://www.techneblog.com/article/using-jquery-ui-add-effects-drupal-sit....

Also, please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong place or in the wrong manner.

Tom

jQuery Update and jQuery UI Problem

Posted by Anonymous on May 3, 2011 at 8:23pm

I am having a trouble getting these to work on D6.

The basic problem is page load order. jQuery Update puts the updated jQuery library on the page AFTER the jQuery UI files.

I need the jQuery Library to be updated first, and the UI libraries to load second, but I cannot understand how to do this simple task.

I hope this was explained well.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Many Thanks.

Accordion Blocks module released for Drupal

Posted by pflame on June 16, 2009 at 10:10am

Folks, we're happy to roll out yet another module for Drupal. It's called "Accordion Blocks". As the name says, this module provides an accordion effect to all your blocks. You can also apply jQuery UI themes through the configuration settings of the module.

This block is for those of you who deploy apps with a lot of blocks on either side bars, and are looking for newer usability enhancements with regards to visibility of the blocks. It not only minimizes all blocks on a Drupal page, but provides a cool accordion effect to help your user to concentrate on a single block at a time.

jQuery UI in Drupal 5

Posted by katbailey on April 29, 2008 at 7:38pm

I'm trying to put together a sort of roadmap relating jQuery (and jQuery UI) at its different stages to Drupal 5 and 6 so that people can get an overview of the jQuery functionalities that are available to them. I will eventually post it to this group and if there's a suitable place in the handbook for such a thing.
