Welcome to Drupal Thailand!

I’ve joined on as an admin, and I just finished going through the backlog of requests to join. Let’s do a roll call :)

  • Where in Thailand is everyone, and do you live here or are you visiting?
  • What are you looking for from this group?
  • How are you using Drupal, and do you have a new favorite module or theme you’d like to share?

    Thanks!

    ~ Christefano

    Drupal noob .... -ish

    Posted by heywoodj on January 22, 2015 at 2:45pm

    Hello everyone! My name is Roger ... (why does this feel like an AA intro? ) .... and I've sporadically used Drupal over the course of 5ive years or so to assist a non-profit organization I belong to, as well as other side-interests not primary to my day-to-day job. By day I'm a database developer for a Fortune 500 company (not as glorious as it reads here), and I'm one of those people whose experiences are a mile wide and a foot deep. I have a theoretical understanding of programming and databases that far exceeds my coding skills, but I'm looking to change that a bit using Drupal.

    Hello! Thought I'd get the ball rolling - do please reply to this post with who you are and what you hope to get out of this initiative. You can edit the title, I used the format: name - role(s) - base location. Once you've posted here feel free to start a discussion topic on whatever is on your mind relevant!

    Local Drupal Introductions/Connections

    Posted by stpaultim on April 18, 2013 at 6:08pm

    I see that there are 450 people listed as "members" of this online group. Last I checked the turn-out at local meet-ups and happy hours is a bit smaller. :-)

    As an experiment, I'm starting this discussion as an opportunity for all local Drupal folks (including those who can't make the meetings) to:

    1) Introduce themselves
    2) Share something about their involvement in Drupal
    3) ALSO - indicate what they are looking for in the Drupal community at this time (a little matchmaking).
    examples:
    * Looking for projects
    * Looking for internship
    * Looking for job

    Group Purpose

    Posted by Rob_Feature on October 3, 2011 at 12:49pm

    Hi all!
    I created this group once I realized (with much astonishment) that there were other people in the world doing exactly what I'd always dreamed of: Building Drupal sites part time and farming part time (...or some various combination of the two). Recently I had decided this was a goal I wanted to pursue and was amazed when I found two people on twitter doing exactly that.

    As you join the Heart of Ohio DUG, please take a moment to introduce yourself, where you work, and what you are currently doing with Drupal so we can all get a sense of where we all are in our development.

    Roll Call (メンバー自己紹介)

    Posted by Anonymous on February 23, 2010 at 3:43am

    I just joined the group recently--introduced by Antoine--and noticed that there is no thread to introduce yourself and where you are from. So, I'm here to start it off. Please give us your Name (or handle if you're not comfortable), Where you are from, and one Hobby. You can of course share anything else if you want to.

    メンバーやゲストにグループの仲良く雰囲気を伝えるために自己紹介スレッドを作りたいと思います。私からスタートでお名前またはハンドル・出身地と趣味を書いてください。もちろん他のことをシェアしても構わないです。

    I'm Fil from the US and recently I'm really into photography.
    This is my fourth year in Japan so my Japanese is still flawed. Feel free to correct me though! ;-)

    Hi, just noticed and joined this group...

    I work from home as a themer in Portsmouth for Advomatic, based in NYC. Always wondered what kinds of Drupal activity is down here in Hampton Roads. I've been theming since Drupal 4.6 (I think), I want to say early 2005.

    Recent projects:

    tcktcktck
    Mozilla QMO
    New York State Senate

    So I guess that's a brief introduction. Hello!

    Holla! I'm really excited and somewhat perplexed that no Drupalista started a group to focus on Drupal for State and Federal agencies / Government. Now that this group has been approved, I'm super excited to meet fellow Drup's who are deploying Drupal at the State and Federal level!

    First and foremost, if you are looking to deploy Drupal at a local / municipal level, you should check out < http://groups.drupal.org/local-government >.

    Otherwise, let me provide a bit of background on why I decided to form this group. After three years, I once again find myself at the New York State Senate. Unlike last time, I now work for the Senate Majority Leader Malcom A. Smith and in the office of the CIO (aka Andrew Hoppin of Civicspace and Trellon fame). My first task, as the office's inhouse technologist/druaplista, is it to work with an outside vendor to convert our preexisting site into Drupal. As we are less than a month from deployment, I wanted to find other Drupalistas who are working within State / Federal organizations to discuss best practices, collaborative development and shared resources.

    When you join this group, please state why you're here and introduce yourself to the rest of the community.

    Btw, what do you think of the hash/tag #Drupal4gov?
