Has anyone considered implementing Distcha ?

Distcha is an accessible Captcha shown here :

It is a very promising new way of providing an accessible captcha.

Should the docs style guide apply to interface text?

Posted by arianek on September 15, 2010 at 8:05pm

A ping in #drupal-docs earlier has brought to my attention that the Docs style guide only applies to handbook and not explicitly to interface text in Drupal core/contrib.

I'd think it should apply so we get consistent text and grammar formatting Drupal-wide, but didn't want to make such a sweeping declaration without some consensus from the community at large.

How to translate only the website's interface, not the content?

Posted by DrupalCuckoo on August 26, 2010 at 7:33am

hi,

I'm building a website with drupal for a german audience. All information on this page will be written in German.

I've started developing the website with the default drupal installation package which comes with English as preinstalled language. I did this because it makes it easier for me to search for solution while developing the site. The biggest part of the drupal community speaks English (I guess), so for example tutorials about how to install something are mostly written in English.

Intuitive interface for CCK & Views

Posted by disymus on March 26, 2010 at 5:43pm

Hi

I am final year computer science engg. student. I have been using drupal from 1 year. I have designed about 15-20 websites in drupal and have really felt how tiresome it is to create & configure with cck & views. It was gruesome for me for a project, where i had to create some 20 custom content types with 12 views. It was student management system. All tasks were repetitive and gruesome.

How to tie a CCK (radio select) field and a MENU together programatically?

Posted by schedal on November 20, 2009 at 8:34pm

Hello,

Looking into writing a custom trigger->action module.

But first I wanted to check if this has already been done.

Basically I have Panels which read the arg0 variable in the URL to call up Nodes that have a drop-down CCK field that matches the arg0 passed to it.

What I am missing, is a way for a MENU item to be automatically created at the same time [and with the same identifier] as a value in a radio-select field for Page_Area.

Poprawne przełączanie jezyka interfejsu

Posted by szczym on June 6, 2009 at 2:05pm

Plugin Manager interface usability

Posted by Anonymous on December 27, 2008 at 7:51am

Hi. This summer I wrote Drupal's Plugin Manager module. It is designed to allow users to install modules and themes directly from drupal.org using local ftp or ssh. Now, after a few releases and with another person on the project (jabapyth,) I'm starting to notice the traps that we've carefully laid out for ourselves. Thus, Jabapyth and I are planning to rewrite the UI for the module. This is where I was hoping for some help. I hope for us to create an interface that is not a headache waiting to happen.

sun's vision for handling embedded/inline content and Wysiwyg in Drupal

Posted by sun on February 6, 2008 at 8:59pm

.

.

As some of you know, I've recently taken over maintenance of Inline and Image Assist, and initiated the Wysiwyg project. That was not only caused by personal interest, but also to take the necessary steps to realize the long awaited Inline API. You might ask yourself, what those three modules have in common or to do with each other at all: They deal with user input, allow to embed complex contents into a content, and provide an interactive GUI for that. If you already had the chance to work with them, you already know that there is a rather hidden, non-obvious hard-dependency between them.

Although I'd really like to discuss both topics (Inline and Wysiwyg support) separately, the gained experience on these topics enforces us to discuss them concurrently. The following mockup hopefully explains why: (see attachment to view in full size)
