On Drupal.org, the Drupal 8 core maintainers wrote, "Based on our experience with our successful release candidates, we are confident to announce that Drupal 8.0.0 will be released on November 19, 2015!" Congratulations to the D8 core team and to everyone who worked hard to make Drupal 8 a reality.

To celebrate the release of Drupal 8, we're teaming up with Fastly and LAX Coworking for a night of Drupal, fun, and celebration. This event is free to all Drupal community members.

While this event is mostly a networking event and celebration, Fastly will be demonstrating their Drupal module (available for both Drupal 7 & 8) that integrates their real-time CDN with Drupal.

On Sunday October 13, 2013, the Droplabs family is heading down to Alpine Village in Torrance to celebrate Oktoberfest 2013!

We will be meeting at Droplabs at 12:30 pm and leaving promptly at 1:00 pm.

Next month Chapter Three, based in San Francisco, are delivering Drupal training in LA. Jen Lampton is an experienced trainer and presenter as well as a talented developer for one of the largest Drupal agencies in the US.

Participants are provided with lunch and refreshments; computers, software and a printed manual.

Lullabot has another round of workshops coming up this summer. We're going to be in three cities teaching a different topic in each. These will also all be two-day weekend workshops so folks that have difficulty getting away from work during the week can attend.
