Hi all,

we're in the process of releasing the amfserver, a new Drupal 7 services module that integrates with actionscript based clients.
This means it's usable for flex, flash and air applications.
It's amf handling capabilities rely on the zend amf engine from the zend framework.

At the moment of writing it is complete, tested and features all you can wish for:

ZendAMF, a new server component to the Services module opening the Drupal doors to the Flash world, is moving into its new sandbox.

BostonPHP hosted a PHP Framework Bake-Off last night, a competition among four application frameworks: CakePHP, Symfony, Zend, and CodeIgniter. A developer coding in each framework was given 30 minutes to build a simple job-posting app (wireframes publicized the day before) in front of a live audience.

I asked the organizer if I could enter the competition representing Drupal. He replied that Drupal was a Content Management System, not a framework, so it should compete against Wordpress and Joomla, not the above four. My opinion on the matter was and remains as follows:

I am calling Drupal XML-RPC services using Zend_XmlRpc_Client::call() and getting the following feedback:

Mình gặp phải vấn đề khi sử dụng Zend Server. Cứ chạy Server được khoảng 3-5 ngày là bị mất kết nối đến server. Không chạy được các ứng dụng web trên đó. Và mình có xem log của Apache thì nó có phát sinh lỗi này:
Error: Could not locate a free PHP process from the "application/x-httpd-php" pool within the 'Connection Timeout'
Mình chạy trên window server 2003, bản ZEND CE 5.0.0 Bạn nào gặp phải lỗi tương tự có thể giúp mình giải quyết vấn đề này. Cảm ơn nhiều.

A REST Server is now available for the Services module, so that external REST clients can communicate with Drupal Services. In order to use the REST Server, you have to install the Zend Framework.

The Zend Framework Module for Drupal ensures that the Zend Framework is installed properly and ready for use. It lists the Zend Framework version number in the server status page, let's the administrator change Zend's installation directory, as well as provide a nice API feature set to make the Zend Framework's functionality easily accessible to other modules. One of these API benefits is the zend_initialize($class) function that cleanly includes a class from the Zend Framework and make it ready for use.

This could lead to some very powerful Service modules that use the powerful web service platform.
