I created a https://github.com/mojzis/svg_inpage that allows to inject a svg file inline into your HTML(5) as a page or block. I havent seen it anywhere else so i might put it on d.o.

Synopsis

Drupal image handling and all image related contributed modules assumes that all images are in some bitmap format but forgets about vector graphics. Vector graphics and its open Standard SVG have grown in importance over the past few years with extensible support in all the major web browsers and mobile devices.

Seit ein paar Wochen sitze ich an einer Webseite, in der Kandidaten der Bundestagwahl zu politischen Themen befragt werden.

Das Ergebnis der Befragung soll grafisch aufgearbeitet werden und nach verschiedenen Kriterien dargestellt werden.

Zur Zeit sitze ich an der Erfassung der Fragebogen und der Zuordnung zu bestimmten Benutzern. Als nächstes will ich die Ergebnisse der Befragungen grafisch auf der Startseite platzieren.

Danach will ich Landkarten der gesamten Bundesrepublik als SVG-Karten abbilden und mit den Ergebnissen der Befragung darstellen.

[画像:Only local images are allowed.]I've written a module, Image Overlay, to allow users to "draw" shapes on images with JQuery UI & canvas, and save the result as an image node. (Try it out.) Shapes are draggable and resizable. I've kind of stalled at this point, and could use some help, so I think I'll be applying as a student. I think this module could provide very useful tool to many drupal sites, including social sites (photos), techinical sites (notes & schematics), educational sites (maps, historical battleplans), and many others I haven't yet thought of.

My proposal is to expand and update Image Overlay:
EDITED to update timeline, show tables and added image of control and links to screenshots. EDITED on March 29th 1:15pm EDT, to add mockups.

The end of the SoC has far passed. I kept working on the drawing project, committed several fixes, and wrote a few example modules. during and before FrOSCon and DrupalCon brainstormed with others about where you could use the the graphic displays.

The title of this group is graphing and svg, so maybe this doesnt really fit, but to try to spin the group up a bit I want to share what I was thinking on today. Please comment if you like the idea, or criticize if not. It was about my project and the following thought crossed my mind:
