maintenance

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Passing along: maintenance on existing Drupal sites.

Hi all,

A local business owner inquired with one of my colleagues about getting help with a couple of Drupal sites. If you are available to help or know a Drupal developer who is, contact Mark at markstephensyoga.com.

I have two developed/live Drupal sites that need new development and tune-ups, and I am planning a new third site. Links to both live sites are below.

What do they/I need?
Fix some of CMS issues.
Add new functions:
- Some pages to require user accounts, roles and permissions;

This past week, I was in a google+ hangout with a group of very tech savvy individuals. To my surprise they were having a discussion concerning Drupal.

Creating site update ticklers in Drupal?

Posted by charles belov on December 5, 2011 at 7:40pm

Does Drupal have tools which remind me that if a particular change happens at our organization, that I have to visit pages x, y, z, a, b, c and d to check whether changes are needed? Or that content is about to become stale or need a verb tense change?

Rationale for deleting a proposed group

Posted by bonobo on April 2, 2009 at 8:23pm

Hello, all,

Recently, some folks at the National Writing Project (a non-profit organization supporting teacher professional development and supporting student writing) created a group here on g.d.o --

The NWP is made up of various chapters nationwide, and many of these chapters maintain a web presence. Currently, these chapters use an array of tools, ranging from Wordpress to Wikispaces to Joomla! to, that's right, Drupal.

(even more) Advanced Cron

Posted by damienmckenna on March 21, 2009 at 12:54am

I've toyed with this idea for a few months..

A common problem with cron tasks in Drupal is that it is generally an all-or-nothing proposition, either every time you run cron.php the system runs every individual cron task, or (possibly for n00bs) you don't run it at all. Then there's the problem that some tasks need to be ran frequently, e.g. search index refreshing vs tag cloud updates vs RSS feed aggregation vs scheduler updating..

What I propose is rewriting cron.module to allow individual cron tasks be scheduled differently.

There would be three parts to it:

Hong Kong Group Administration

Posted by johndbritton on November 5, 2008 at 4:30pm

Posted on both the Hong Kong and g.d.o maintenance group for transparency.

I'm a member of the Hong Kong Drupal User Group (http://groups.drupal.org/hongkong) and would like to request administrative privileges for the group. Recently we've seen increased activity and I'd like to use the og_panels functionality of g.d.o to give our group a better looking front page. I've tried contacting the current group admin, but he/she has the contact form disabled.
