views module

I'm stumped trying to put our TimeBank event pictures into a picture carousel on our welcome page.

I found that Rotor Banner allows for multiple images and/or ad text to be displayed one at a time in a single window (block) and you can apply different transition effects and timings to the rotating displays. I downloaded and installed the Drupal Rotor Banner module (6.x-2.8) and its dependent modules.

Hej. Första gången jag försöker mig på exposed filter (rätt ny Drupal kille) och behöver lite hjälp.

Jag använder location module för att lägga till locations till en node-type. Sedan har jag i views skapat en liten lista över dessa nodes som visas med titel, bild thumbnail och så i en tabell. I samma view har jag under "filter" lagt till Location:Country - exposed filter. I previews funktionen (när jag fortfarande jobbar med views) fungerar det jättebra, exposed filter finns ovanför node-listan, man väljer ett land, klickar på "apply" och nodes-en filtreras.

I have another problem using Views together with GMap. Can someone shed some light onto this for me?

I want to show a google map of all of the "event" nodes I have. I
am using Views, Gmap, Location module to do this following the
tutorials I read.

The problem is, my "event" node does not contain it's own
location. Instead each node makes a 'node reference' via a select list to
a venue which contains the location. The reason I did
this is because many events share the same venue and I don't
want the user to have to map the same location multiple times. As

Is there a module or recipe to expose votes to Views so to you can make a list of content and possibly sort it by the number of votes or the average or similar? Ideally, something that ties into Voting API or better still, Fivestar.

Okay so I have the views setup and everything looks perfect except the last row of images. It stacks them vertically. I would like it to stake the images horizontally within that row. I have it setup on the Fields Row Style and have inline checked for the image field. What seperator should be used to display these items one after another in this row? Any ideas would be great.

should i block the spider crawl those filters?

I need some advice. I'm trying to construct a page of news articles for my school's intranet. There are going to be a few different sections:

1. Section 1 = Featured article = big picture with a paragraph or so of text and "read more" link
2. Section 2 = Other Featured articles = just a bulleted list of other featured stories titles that are linked to the full-text story
3. Section 3 = smaller versions of Section 1

I am struggling with the speed on my Views generated blocks. These blocks are essential for the functionality of the front page.

Logged out, with cache enabled both for page and block devel returns horrid page load times:
Executed 144 queries in 59187.65 milliseconds. Queries taking longer than 5 ms and queries executed more than once, are highlighted. Page execution time was 59675.94 ms.

Logged in as admin (uid=1) shows equally horrid page load times:

I hope I am not duplicating any posts. I have searched and searched, but have yet to uncover a solution.
