Drupal 8 port of Station

Posted by gusaus on January 6, 2016 at 9:37pm

For those not following the project on d.o., there's an effort to port Station to Drupal 8 and help sustain it via crowdfunding and building client sites in the open. Contributors, supporters, and those who may benefit from using such a solution...please don't hesitate to get involved!

Sandusky Radio: 11 Stations, 1 CMS - Drupal Case Study

Posted by frederickjh on September 20, 2012 at 3:06pm

I just saw this Drupal Case Study about Sandusky Radio: 11 Stations, 1 CMS on Drupal.org and thought you all might be interested. What I find especially interesting is this:

The center of what a radio station site does is the ability to display what’s On Air now and what is next on the playlist. Bluespark tightly integrated each Drupal site with the radio station’s existing playlist system to pull that information in as well as allow content managers to set up show schedules.

Radio BOF at Drupalcon Chicago?

Posted by vj_pdx on February 14, 2011 at 8:41pm

Hi all -
I'd love to have a chance to meet you and talk radio and drupal, so I've put a post on the Drupalcon forums about a radio BOF. http://chicago2011.drupal.org/forum/radio-bof

I'm a rank newbie as far as Drupalcons go, but I'll organize this (and by organize, I mean, put the BOF on the board and facilitate).

Please chime in on the forum if you're interested!

Station Schedule Getting rid of extra white space.

Posted by frederickjh on December 17, 2010 at 12:18am

I have been entering my schedule into the station module and I would like to put forth an idea to get rid of extra white space within the hour blocks.

Currently it appears that when the schedule is built instead of building one row at a time(one hour time slot for each day of the week) and ordering the data that way it is called up one column at a time (one hour after another through the whole day).

Currently it would call up the first day midnight to 1am, then 1am to 2am and keep working through the week in this way.

Storing Archive files on a different server

Posted by refreshingapathy on April 19, 2010 at 1:44am

Ok, so here's my dilemma. I have my server running my Drupal instance. It works quite well, I'm happy with it. However, I'm limited to 24GB of disk space. I have another hosting plan, free of charge, on another host that may or may not start with Dr and end with eamhost that provides unlimited disk space.

The Now Playing block--can it self refresh?

Posted by mwoodwar on February 14, 2010 at 4:11pm

Is it possible to keep just the now playing block from caching...or somehow have it 'refresh' itself every x minutes? Problem is that if someone leaves their browser window open, or comes back to the page without a refresh...the Now Playing show is not correct?

Just launched AshevilleFM.org featuring the station module

Posted by daggerhart on January 29, 2010 at 2:04pm

Hello, just wanted to show off my new site featuring the station module.

http://www.ashevillefm.org is Asheville Free Media, and I've been working for about three months on site functionality a styling.

I ended up hacking the schedule module a little bit to get it to display the way I wanted. I'll post some of my code later this weekend.

Let me know what you think, and thanks drewish for the awesome module!

The 'Now Playing' block--how to modify?

Posted by mwoodwar on December 21, 2009 at 4:13pm

I'm not able to use the stream.m3u file, and would like to remove "Tune in Warp Stream" and replace it with the DJ hosting the current show. I tried to comment out the code for Tune In, but got an error way back up the stack in includes/template.inc.

My php skills are barely above zero...is this something that someone could help with easily? What I'd like to end up with in the block is:

Name of current show (now displaying fine)
Hosted by: name of dj (put where the tune in warp stream is now showing)?? That's all I want for Christmas :>)

Two Technical Questions Reguarding Station for another Radio Station

Posted by jagarolik on December 3, 2009 at 7:07pm

My name is Chris, I'm the webmaster at WUNH 91.3 FM in Durham, NH. I'm working on a new drupal site for our radio station, and there are 2 major questions i have for other radio webdesigners out there.

Live Streaming
I am nearly finished with the recommended audio module, but im at a loss when it comes to having a live streaming feature. Does anyone have some info about that? (also, the audio module is not naming audio files properly, it only says "[field_station_program-title] [audio-tag-title-raw]" im so confused)
