Small Scale Drupal

Freelancers of all types had a BoF session at Drupalcon Barcelona: below are the rough notes.

I blogged about the two freelancer BoF sessions held at Drupalcon Amsterdam and what it means for small-scale Drupalers of all stripes, especially with a view to Drupal wanting to credit organizations more (and what that means when you're basically an organization of one.)

I thought it might be of interest to people here. SSD even gets a mention ;)

I'm hoping to find a contractor who is looking for a short assignment in Boulder. 2-4weeks.
It's for a project who's data source for this site and APIs will be all Salesforce. However, the front facing needs to be built on Drupal.

It is hard to answer this question without a clear set of hypotheses of current issues that could/can affect the sustainability and relevance of Drupal in the future of the web, but I think that those interested in small scale Drupal (SSD) probably have some of these hypotheses in their head already and see SSD as the solution. I would love to hear those perspectives.

In The Networked Enterprise: Competing for the Future Through Virtual Enterprise Networks the author Ken Thompson outlines the following working groups. What do you think of this approach? How could they be implemented? Is paid-subscription the only way to discourage freeloading and enable private conversations? Discuss!

I guess I resonate most with tech support with a bit of brokering & exec leadership roles although, with regards to the latter, I tend to be best at getting things going and when things need delivering, I generally look to others to manage the ongoing ;)

The Small Scale Drupal Group has categories for content. In order to categorise your content so it can be seen by the correct audience (some may subscribe via RSS feeds), please type a relevant tag or three into the relevant vocabulary when posting:

Growing a business is not easy even in the Drupal world where there is reportedly a shortage in supply of good Drupal talent out there. What are or were your organisation's growth pain points? What can be done to improve these?
