Anyone familiar with the Advertisment Module? http://drupal.org/project/ad I've installed it on a local development installation and can't get it to display an image ad. I've looked through the documentation and it seems like it should be pretty straight-forward. I'm just missing something and (noob alert), not sure what.
I can supply details if there's anyone who has experience with the module wants to make suggestions. Gonna keep plugging away in he meantime.

noob check
I don't mean to insult you, but did you make sure you had the Image Ad sub module activated? Or, are you already at that point and the images just aren't showing up?
Hard to insult a noob
I was pretty well past that point. I did have the Image Ad sub-module on, and checked all my settings a number of times. I finally found a post in the advertisement modules issue queue that revealed a number of people having the same issue, with no clear solution as yet.
I was able to get ads to display on a second Drupal installation with the same basic configuration. So I was mystified that I couldn't get an image ad to display on both of them. After reading a number of posts in the issue queue, I tried changing the display type to RAW and the test ad finally appeared. So then I tried changing the display type back to javascript and--whoops!--the ad still displayed... where it had not when set to Javascript before.
So for now, the issue seems to be resolved, but I've only just begun working with it... So I'm gonna tread lightly.I left a post in a related thread, in case my accidental fix is of use to anyone.
Thanks for your response.
Roger
