Hello all,
I'm currently developing a site for a group of political activists who want to be able to debate and vote on issues through the site. Everything about the Drupal project makes it the ideal tool for such a task.
I've checked out the various voting modules and with a little tweaking I'm pretty sure I can design what we need.
However, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows of any Drupal-based sites that have plenty of debate and democratic decision-making going on. Any ideas?
It would be great to get some inspiration.

The now defunct Musicfor America was a great place for debate and democratic decision making, and was responsible for me diving head first into both politics and Drupal.
After the '04 elections I moved Young Philly Politics off of blogger and onto Drupal, and within a few short months an amazingly robust community had taken shape. I'm actually writing about the transformative powers of Drupal, using this as an example of how it helps online communities to grow, for the next Drupal newsletter. (I'll be using Nick Lewis' great post on the Six Conditions that Form Online Communities as a jumping off point, given that it curiously leaves out what is in my opinion the most important condition: cheap/free software, i.e. Drupal, that enables the other six conditions.)
