Would you like phpBB3 to handle drupal's Comments? (Comments <=> Posts in a Thread - per drupal node)

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

So do you mean every time a node is created, a parallel topic is also created in phpbb? And comments automatically get converted to replies to the topic?

Precisely - but with a some configuration possible - such as:
1) Pick which nodes [by Type] get a phpBB Topic created automatically (and Where, under which user, ...)
2) Optional phpBB Topic auto-creation on Node creation (when we Add the content) or on User comment Creation (first time a user/us add a Comment)
3) Per-Node Auto-Creation On/Off - there might be nodes I do not wish to enable this feature for - so when Creating/Managing content, there can be a 'Create Topic / Forum Comments' Toggle/Checkbox.

It beats Drupal comments in EVERY way - it leverages the ease of use of existing forum software (druBB is insane to use, usability wise) - the powerful mods it has for community interaction - and it integrates into our web sites in a way that there's a continuum between the web site and forum...

What do you think...

This Sounds Great.

I'd really like to get this feature. So if someone was in your forum they could just stumble across this as content? As long as the 'first post' explained that it was about the node then I think it would work from both directions.

So how can we get this feature then?
