As my home group. I just want to tell you guys that Alethia is proud to announce our new project. MediaFront which is all things open source and media.

Not currently, but things are starting to come together such that I might be back there in October...
I did meet someone who came from mainland China, though. He said he read this group as well, though I can't remember what he said his username was... His company had published a Drupal book for the Taiwanese market, and he sounded pretty enthusiastic about preaching the gospel of Drupal in east Asia.

Hi Garrett, that was me I guess. We did not publish that book; one of my employees co-authored it. I've organizing Drupal meetups for a bit more than 2 years in China now, and we do have a Drupal shop that is steadily growing in number. Come visit us if you ever swing by Shanghai.

Man, sorry I was so busy during Drupalcon, I only made it to 3 sessions and one was a BOF that we put on.
I need to watch all the good ones now.

I was hoping to do it this
I was hoping to do it this fall, as a student at a Japanese language school in Aichi (I spent my first round in Japan in Nagoya), but I didn't pay enough attention to student visa deadlines and missed my chance... But I hope to give it another go next spring.

The deadline got pushed back
The deadline got pushed back to the end of the month, so I've spent the last week bustling around filling out forms and getting paperwork ready (STRESS) - I might be there in the fall after all. I'll definitely need to be doing telecommute contract work or something while I'm there, though - the financials are just really iffy at this point (STRESS STRESS STRESS).
