Ubsercart - payment

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm starting work on a site where users will need to pay for premium membership. I'd be using Ubercart, but Can anyone please advice what payment intergration to use?
e.g. Paypal, ogone etc ?

I'm new to Germany, so haven't got used to the banking here yet.

Idealy we'd be looking for users to set up a monthly subscription.

I had heard Paypal is not very accepted here.

Ogone I see has Ubercart integration: http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/140

use both: paypal and clickandbuy http://drupal.org/project/uc_clickandbuy
monthly subscription isn't a problem for clickandbuy.

Most german shops use

bank transfer (before delivery) - Überweisung, Vorkasse
cash on delivery - Nachnahme
credit card - Kreditkarte
direct debit - Bankeinzug

And some services like

paypal
sofortüberweisung.de

Depending on payment different fees are charged.
Use Websites like http://geizhals.at/deutschland/ to explore what most shops are using for payment.
Acceptance of payment service may differ depending on target group.
