MyKML filter module - anyone up for giving it a spin?

Hi all,
in a project that I'm doing right now, I needed an easy way to display custom maps in nodes and the gmap module macros just didn't cut it. I ended up creating a filter module, that allows users to insert their Google's MyMap or KML file in square brackets which will then be replaced by a google map with the kml overlayed. It's built on the great jquery jmaps extension by Tane Piper. I finished a first beta today and its working pretty well, http://playground.placematters.org/?q=node/1, you can also download the source code there.
Since I'm not a very experienced drupal programmer (yet...), I was wondering if someone has some spare time to install and play with it and give me some advice on how to improve code, functionality and performance (the setup right now still has some rough edges...). Also, let me know if you think it's worth uploading to Drupal.org
Any feedback is more than welcome, looking forward to your advice.
Cheers, Chris

The only concerns I see are how to integrate KML that ends up in the body field into the sitemap.xml markup and how to make this work with TinyMCE.

A newbie question

I'm looking forward to checking this out. However, every time I try to download the .tar file through Mac browsers, it is downloaded as an .exe.

What do I do?
