Some 12 years back she thought to be a Webmedia, an online journalist for local and global audience. Intention was to post tons of videos, texts and pictures. Just note technology was hard to reach, costly for common man and woman living in India.
The target was simple a person in last line of society wanted to use Internet to become media like press and tv with free and freely available technology, whose income was around USD 200 / INR 10K monthly.
She opted after hard online search to Wordpress for Hindi language posts. But soon it was not out of box Unicode supported at least for her. Drupal in 2005 came to rescue the woman struggling to be local media to go global. Surprisingly Drupal helped outbox the unicode content, no database tweaking.
And Drupal gifted in bonus of membership capability to deal with social network or community development with Drupal.
Still we are on same lane 2017 with little income to go with but Drupal is passion and it goes with lifestyle of Webmedia.
Final note: People who cannot afford programmer or developer to hire, can easily rely on Drupal doing on their own to things get going. How we develop / maintain site like www.ChhattisgarhNews.info is long story...Will keep coming to inspire others to join the wagon...
One more thing, this time we are going to local public to be aware of Drupal who don't even know it exists.
