Get Your Drupal Camp Session Ready - We Want to Hear from You

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi Everyone,

It's that time of year when we all get into full swing to advertise our yearly gathering of all the best that Drupal Ireland has to offer.

We don't have a date finalised, but April 7th and 8th is looking likely. The location will be Dublin, city center-based.

This year we want to bring the camp back to its roots a little. This means talks to satisfy developers and enthusiasts, rather than showcases of websites built to impress clients and potential clients.

We'll get our website live as soon as possible, where you can formally propose your sessions. In the meantime, feel free to leave a comment about anything related to the camp and we'll get to it as soon as we can.

Topics that might be interesting:
- Migration
- Structured Content (paragraphs vs entity construction kit)
- Multilingual
- Component-based design
- Workflow/Workspaces/Content Staging
- Multisite vs Group vs Organic Groups
- Contributing to Drupal Core (core or contrib)
- Drupal and JS Frameworks
- Performance
- Debugging
- anything else ...

Hi Everyone,

We have our monthly committee meeting today.

So far we have not received session proposals from anyone for Drupal Camp Dublin. If you would like to present at the camp, please leave a comment below - or send an email to committee {@} drupal {dot} ie.

It would be great to have some proposals before today's meeting - even if it was just for you to say that would be prepared to give a talk, without knowing your topic just yet.

Thanks.

BrowserSync (via Gulp) for Drupal 8 Theming

Depending upon the timing of the camp, I'd like to give a demonstration of BrowserSync & Gulp and the issues I had getting them to work fully for Drupal 8 theming.

HI Robert,

That's great, thanks. We're hoping to hold the camp sometime in June. At the moment we're just trying to gauge numbers for who might give sessions. BrowserSync sounds like a great idea.

Too early?

Hi,

I know for the organisers it is better to have all the sessions and events sorted as soon as possible, but I it is too early for me.

I would like to go to DrupalCamp Ireland this year and if I could go I will be happy to submit a presentation, but I probably won't be able to confirm this until May.

Thanks,
Luis.

I"ve just published my blog post about our project management transformation: http://www.freistilbox.com/blog/2017/03/lean-web-operations.html

I'd love to share our learnings at DrupalCamp!

Too soon to know

Hi,

I will be happy to submit a session or 2, if I will be able to come this year.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to know for sure until much later (depends on the final dates of the camp of course).
