To day Drupal Burkina meet Drupal Niger for a better planification of our strategy of Drupal promotion in west Africa.
Will discuss about how to redynamiser the Niger group and how to federate our actions for a better lobying for Drupal penetration in Africa.

It's good to see some movement on our continent in relation to the adoption of Drupal. Our organisation has implemented four Drupal 7 applications in the last two years that are helping the Government of Mauritius truly achieve higher levels of e-governance. I like the idea of federating the different service providers to enlighten and educate our governments on the opportunities they have at hand to leverage the knowledge we already have on the continent.

We can start by:

creating a knowledge sharing platform and respond to specific challenges that we are facing
participating in projects in Mauritius/Africa (for the Drupal 7 and 8) experts
collaborating to win projects. We have strong credentials and reusable components/applications. E.g. we have a good HR/Payroll system for Mauritius companies... we can extend it to various countries. We also have existing modules for eGovernance...

These are just a few examples... we can expand on these...
