Our DUG is looking for a new home, we've got a couple great options to decide from. Both places offer different positives and negatives, and very different feels as far as the location goes. We're going to try MJD in PB for our next meetup so we can get a feel for both places, then we'll ask for everyone's opinion.

Vine is downtown right by Horton plaza, it's in a really nice building, with free parking in the basement(with validation). There are doormen who can help you find the right floor and office, and they'll validate your parking after the meeting. Don't forget to validate or you'll pay an arm and a leg. This place is in the same building as the evonexus, so there's a possibility of getting some cross-pollination of groups. Meetings here have a corporate/educational feel, as opposed to the more social feel of the place in PB.

In PB, MJD has offered their office to host the meetups. MJD does some Drupal, in addition to wordpress and a few other technologies. They have some really great Drupal people there, but we're a little less likely to draw people in from other groups. They actually do host other meetups occasionally, but on different days. The location is in the heart of PB, so it can be a little tough to get to, unless you know the secret way over the Ingraham bridge. Street parking is generally better than you might think on a weekday just after work, but you still have to find a spot. There are bars within easy walking distance to adjourn to after meetups if people want to.
