Florida DrupalCamp 2016 Venue and Date Discussion

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Over the past month or so, a few of us have been discussing the possibility of having Florida DrupalCamp 2016 at the Stetson University campus in Celebration. There was a possibility that it would be open to us, but the situation has changed and they are no longer interested in hosting the event.

DrupalCamp Atlanta is coming up next month (October 16-17, 2015) and it would be great if we could announce our dates and venue at that time.

WordCamp Orlando is taking place in December at the Church Street Exchange Building in downtown Orlando - they're expecting 500+ people, so it would be more than large enough for us.

We expect that if we ask Florida Technical College to host again this year that they'll be amenable.

At this time, we don't have any potential dates picked out, but, as usual, we're interested in a March time-frame.

So - some questions:

Is there anyone based in Orlando who is willing to step up and look into the Church Street Exchange Building for a possible venue?
Are there any other locations that we should be considering?
Are there any dates that we should avoid?

I have an email from a contact at The Iron Yard, which is in that building. I'd be willing to reach out, and see who the main contact is for something like this.

I attended Orlando Barcamp here last year, and I think it can work. The rooms are various business within the building. I'm not sure how all of that is organized, though.

It'd also be cool if anyone has any contacts at Valencia or Rollins or UCF. Those would be excellent locations, too.
