How is this related?

Posted by tmorgan on June 30, 2015 at 4:12pm

I am interested in receiving SECURITY updates from the SECURITY group, not these flaming ads. Please don't twist the topic to become a forum for whoever wants to advertise.

No area for business.

Posted by proserven on June 30, 2015 at 7:14pm

I agreed with you, they should do business somewhere else.

This is not a security group.

Posted by marc delay on June 30, 2015 at 7:35pm

This is not a security group. This is the Boston Area Group. 9/10 posts to this group are about workshops or conferences.

I see now that they cross spammed this post to many groups. My apologies.
Not nice phparchitect!

Apologies Marc

Posted by phparchitect on June 30, 2015 at 8:02pm

Sending you a separate email as well Marc ... but per our other responses, our apologies. We'd consulted with other members of the Drupal community in the past, and had been told that a single cross-post was best for advertising online/broad interest items.

Also that the security group was a great place to put security classes/etc. We'd posted here in the past without any negative feedback unless now.

Our apologies, and we won't post to the Security group again.

Apologies

Our deepest apologies (see longer reply in this thread). We had been informed by other community members that this would be a good place to announce security-related classes.

Apologies

Posted by phparchitect on June 30, 2015 at 7:51pm

Our apologies. We a long time ago looked into what groups we should be posting our content to, and inquired of a number of notables of the Drupal Community as well.

At that time, we were pointed to this security group, specifically for any courses/conferences/etc that we were offering that did in fact help cover Drupal Security and/or Web Security in general as this course does.

We've actually posted a number of things here in the past, and never gotten any negative feedback. We will refrain from cross-posting this to the Security Group in the future :-(

tmorgan is spamming

Posted by shyland101 on January 7, 2018 at 6:44pm

Can we kick him from the site somehow. I, along with everyone else on the list, am getting multiple emails from this clown.

These are ADVERTISEMENTS and DO NO BELONG ON THIS GROUP.

Can't somebody do something to get him kicked?

Thanks,
Stephen

STOP SPAMMING THIS GROUP

I am getting these emails from you about every 5-10 minutes. The subject is "Drupal Groups Boston: PHP Foundations for Drupal 8" which is, I believe, an advertisement. Since they are coming from you and your website, it looks like SPAM.

I think others are also getting these emails.

Please try to figure out why they are being sent out and FIX THE PROBLEM.

By the way, I've been a groups member for over 7 years. And in all that time, no one has ever sent out this many emails - not even the Indians in Bangalore.

An online-only course should not be posting into location-specific groups.

What does this relate to Chicago? Please don't waste my time. If I wanted to subscribe to online training courses, I am sure I could find a way.
