Regularly scheduled monthly meeting coming up this next Tuesday.
We'll meet at the Midtown Local and they always have a good supply of beer, coffee, sandwiches, and treats.
Some possible topics of discussion are Page Manager, creating custom Views Displays, and more.

Just to be clear about this...
When you say Midtown Local, You are talking about Chico, not Sacramento, correct? It's not 100% clear that this is a Chico meetup when it gets cross posted into the Sacramento Area group.

User group activity
There were two active members in Chico (asherry and me) and asherry moved to Australia.
If there were interest, we could revive this.
In the meantime, there are two meetings per month of SacDUG in Sacramento, and since I'm down there quite a lot anyway, I try to make it to those.
I would happily meet with any other interested Drupalistas in Chico.

There are quite a few active drupal folks knocking around in Chico, myself and tthackery meet regularly. I think if there was some structure to it, and varied topics we could probably encourage more attendance.
Well I just got handed our
Well I just got handed our (developing) site where the Boss had someone he knew start off a site in drupal... and got it fairly well along, and then was unable to continue.. so it got dropped in my lap. I've stared at it for a long while, and I've come to the conclusion I can't figure out all of it, and could use some help pointing me in the right directions.
I have background in PHP (though its out of date) and how phpmyadmin works and mysql. Though I gather for drupal that's not necessary.
I'm surprised though that Chico State doesn't have a group or something... but this is all I could find.

There is definitely a lurking
There is definitely a lurking Drupal community in Chico, it's just not organized. A while back I contacted somebody at Chico State about the Drupal meetups and didn't hear anything back, but that could mean anything.
My guess as to why Chico State isn't either scheduling or attending Drupal meetups would be most likely because they don't know there are developers out there willing to meet and share info.
As I've said many times - what you guys should do is meet regularly and consistently even with two people. They will come.
