Just This Saturday?

Posted by newme154 on August 25, 2014 at 5:05pm

Is it just this Saturday?

Sorry if that was not clear but this topic is for developing the schedule for the second day of Baltimore Drupal Camp which will consist of training, mentoring and sprints

Training for Saturday

Posted by wanflap on August 26, 2014 at 3:08pm

Hey you can throw our name into the hat. We currently offer the following classes:

Drupal for Beginners: Want to learn Drupal, but can hardly spell it? This is the class for you.
Intermediate Drupal: Expands on the above class.
Drupal with an emphasis on commerce: A combination of the above, but also covers Drupal Commerce. Recommend students that are at an intermediate level or higher.

Get Started with Drupal - The Right Way!

Posted by dougvann on September 30, 2014 at 12:00am

I've been hitting a lot of camps this year doing pretty much the same beginners training. The title changes a little, but "Get Started with Drupal - The Right Way!" seems to be the winner.
You can check out the node from the DrupalCamp Ohio site for the details at http://drupalcampohio.org/sessions/get-started-drupal-right-way

If the Drupal for beginners space is too congested, I'd be happy to do an intro to PHP.

Thoughts?

Posted by tedbow on September 30, 2014 at 12:40am

I would interested in doing an Intro to Drupal Module development course

I have done this the last 2 years at DrupalCamp NJ where it has been received well and sold out both times:

I also have a Intermediate class that is really Views and Panels. I taught it this year at nice camp:

We're going to model the

Posted by schiavone on September 30, 2014 at 1:31pm

We're going to model the training on training day at the 2014 New Jersey Drupal Camp. At the camp they charged 75ドル for a class with a up to 200ドル in traveling expenses as well as an in-kind Silver sponsorship going to the trainer. The classes in New Jersey sold out.

I propose that we charge 50ドル for training and pay trainer 200ドル. Please chime in with your opinions on this.

If your interested in being a training please send a description of your class to me so I can start getting the classes posted. I'd like to get the details sorted out by Friday so we can post the Saturday schedule then.

Course descriptions

Training logistics

Posted by schiavone on October 3, 2014 at 7:15pm

If there is no objections we will charge 50ドル for each class with 200ドル going to the instructor. Attendees will need a computer with a dev environment already installed or Acquia dev desktop installed. I think we can provide assistance with the later for people who show up early.

For classes to be viable we'll need at least 4 people to sign up to cover the instructor.

Feedback welcome.

Saturday (2nd day only) has been canceled.

Hey folks,
I think you got my emails, but due to a strain on resources the organizers decided to eliminate the second day and focus on the first day.
However, we want to include a track geared towards beginners and business users so please feel free to submit sessions aimed at these types of users (as well as experienced Drupal users of course). You would be free to mention your paid training course during the session. I'm sorry for the change, but I'm still hoping to see you at the camp.
