Ha ha exactly ;). My point was that I tried to start an Acadiana/SW LA group based out of Lafayette and it was denied because they (whoever makes the decisions) want more regional groups. They obviously have never been caught in Baton Rouge traffic and don't understand how far Lake Charles is from Baton Rouge taking traffic into consideration either.
I think it's a bad decision but I would consider attending a meetup in BR if there were a lot of attendees like 15-20 or more, but I don't think I could justify driving for just a few people.
I would also be interested in discussing a rotating location for the meetups. Baton Rouge this time and Lafayette next etc. Just can't commit to BR all the time for sure.

I spoke with a friend in New Orleans yesterday who suggested we maybe have bi-weekly meetups and alternate between a location in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Could help with getting others involved.
I'm down with Chelsea's. My schedule is a little crazy but any ideas on date / time? Wednesday @ 6:00pm?

2-4 hour drive and fight Baton Rouge traffic?
Not many people are going to drive 2-4 hours or more and fight Baton Rouge traffic to goto a 1-2 hour meeting in Baton Rouge.
