What are we supposed to do?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Is there something we are actually supposed to do here?
I wonder what goes on here...

My side bar says there's eighteen of us suckers here. Yes, I hope to provoke a little discussion with those words :-P

As an adult, there are probably a million things that I'm not aware of that youth and young adults want more or less of at Drupal conferences, camps and on sites like groups.drupal.org. So while I'm not a young Drupalista (I wish Drupal had been around when I was younger!), I'm 100% supportive of this group.

Initiatives like this sometimes have slow growth until people get together in person at a meetup or conference. I'm happy to help if that's something that you all would like to do and have me around for. My experience is from helping organize conferences for youth and young adults and I'm super curious how my preconceptions will be turned upside down by you guys.

Hi!

Posted by cwgordon7 on October 31, 2009 at 3:57am

I'm Charlie Gordon (cwgordon7), and I'm 17. As of the last count I had contributed 36 patches to Drupal 7 core and rank as #18 in the top contributor list. I've been programming Drupal since I was about 15.

Hello Everyone,

We are using Drupal for a couple of social enterprises in the UK. I am a novice Drupal user (i.e. very novice) myself and keen to learn more about Theming. In the meantime I really need some help to make our sites look amazing... which will help us grow our projects.

I am looking for a fan of music, leisure or travel that is able to offer their support to our projects. I can't offer hard cash, so am very keen to hear from anyone looking for case study or portfolio work... and that wants to help create a very exciting project in tourism, leisure and music.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Chris

We should kinda show off some of our websites, like mine, a fictional robotics team called "LAHS Eagle Strike #114"...
tinyurl.com/drupalsite
For me, I'm still working on it and playing with the modules and etc...

We could then share suggestions and comments to improve each others site?

Ah, I would, but I'm still in the process of brain-storming after scrapping my much older site. In due time, perhaps.

I'm 20--turning 21 in a couple of weeks--and very new to drupal, but not new to programming. I'm also female. Any other girls here?

I'm currently working on a drupal website that hosts computer tutorials written by users of various skill sets. It looks kind of bad right now, but hopefully soon I'll have a new theme for it. I'm at work and school full-time, so it's kind of hard to find time for these things.

Hi Guys,

Just found this group. I'm 22, and have been working with Drupal from 18. Good to see a group like this. Difficult to imagine where to take it, but I am confident there will come a time when its potential will be realised.

I'm also from South Africa, and I attended DrupalCon Paris! :)
