Hello
I have an Asterisk (VOIP) server which has data on mySQL database. For those not familiar with Asterisk, it is a VOIP telephony server. My application is a community information line, where users dial in and select content and hears it. It is almost acoustical web site. I want to use data in mysql database, for a complementary visual site i.e. a Drupal site. There are many benefits of have a visual site; for example uploading data in Drupal is much easier than from telephone. GPS and map data can only be displayed in a visual site. I am looking for a way to use Asterisk database (MySql) for Drupal. Could multisite concept be useful? I am looking for ideas. Any help will be appreciated.

It looks like there's an Asterisk module in the Drupal.org module database, though it hasn't been touched in over a year. Still, it may be useful as a starting point for your integration project

Thanks Garrett

I know and I am following it. I did a foolish thing to contact the person looking after the module. I just wanted general info, but I was offered a lecture that "open source is like free speech and not free beer" and he would answer me at 150ドル/hr. All I wanted to know if something like what I wanted existed, if so its url. But this is America and time is money. I can say that as I watched Michael Moore's movie last week.

Contacting the author wasn't foolish at all. It's unfortunate that they wouldn't answer your questions without demanding payment upfront (even for a skilled Drupal developer, 150ドル an hour for a non-emergency rate is quite exorbitant). However, yes, time is money, and we all have our limits on what we'll do for free. I guess that person's limits are just rather low.

As for Moore's latest anti-capitalism movie; did you pay to see it? Because, ya know... irony.
