Hi folks,

New to Drupal, I have a site up but it's in pieces right now. Still learning how to organize it. I have a need though to have site users that are approved by me to enter in a work order with light weight features and work management features as well. I am sure there is many ways to do this. Can someone help and or send me a link to a Drupal site that this is already being implemented?

Cheers!

Check out the Rules module. Sounds like you're relatively novice to Drupal. Rules provides a UI to create "rules" that just get things done when an event occurs on the site -- send emails, workflow changes, system messages, you name it. Seems like it could be helpful in your case.

I would also recommend using the "Support" module (http://drupal.org/project/support). It creates simple tickets that you can use with different Projects (https://drupal.org/project/project)

If you just want to check out some Drupal capabilities quickly, it is worth checking out Open Atrium (http://openatrium.com), which is Drupal pre-configured and ready to go as a team collaboration tool.
