First of all I want to present myself. My name is Achim. I run a project about creative sustainability in Spain called Valle de Sensaciones (www.valle.de.sensaciones.de / www.sensaciones.de).
I'm part of the IT Team of the Global Ecovillage Network. Our network collaborates and identifies with the Transition Town movement. Thats why I just got member of your group and post this announcement here.
Actually I'm developing an highly interactive platform for some continental and regional Ecovillage Networks. The first release is dedicated to the newly created CASA Network (Councel of sustainable settlements of America) and the Iberian Ecovillage Network.
Beside presenting the activity of each network its aims to be a fertile ground for the creation of new sustainable initiatives, offering lots of innovative tools for bringing likeminded people together and support the development of their projects.
It is developed with Drupal 7, using OG as main architectural structure.
I would be very happy to discuss the architecture with experienced Drupal developers. Also collaboration is appreciated in this project as much as in our Networks IT team.
In our network we are searching somebody with advanced experience in hosting high traffic Email lists.
I'm also in charge of developing an online collaboration tool for our Network, based on Open Atrium, where advice and collaboration is appreciated.

You might want to review what is being done by Community Tools (communitytools.info) and also the Open Outreach distro. Could you see any collaboration opportunities? Are there any distinct features you are developing with your work? Do you have any specs for the site?
