Help! We need folks to staff the Drupal booth at OSCON on the 19th.

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

We need a few Drupal evangelists or evangelists in training to staff the Drupal booth at OSCON on Thursday, the 19th. We have open slots from 10A to noon and noon to 2P.

Volunteers get free exhibit tix to OSCON and the immense pride and satisfaction that comes with waving the flag.

What does the red mean?

Posted by mindewen on July 7, 2012 at 2:01am

As of the writing of this comment, those slots you mentioned are blocked out in red. Does this mean "No, nevermind, we don't need you" or is this intended more as a highlight, like "Yes! We desperately need you - so badly that we're using strongest color of red we can find to indicate the extreme importance of it!"

Along the same lines, what does the bright turquoise blocking mean?

If this clarifying information has been posted elsewhere, please forgive my ignorance.

Red is for "Yes! We

Red is for "Yes! We desperately need someone!" and Turquoise is "We'd like to have someone here."

There's a key at the bottom, but it would probably help if it was at the top instead. I'll see if I can find a more visible place for it.

Added: OK, moved it up, hopefully that will help!

Ah. Apparently my sleuthing

Ah. Apparently my sleuthing skills failed me miserably.

Thanks for the clarification!

We have filled one of the four red slots.

Posted by highermath on July 8, 2012 at 3:55pm

That leaves three that we must fill. At the moment, we have no one in the any of the noon to 2 PM slots on Thursday, the 19th.

Now we just need backups

I've taken the last two "red" slots, so i think we're good and only need a few backup/"blue" spots.

Tuesday

I just found out that I have to work tomorrow during the time I'd scheduled to help with the setup of the booth (5-6 p.m.). Is there anyone else out there who can take that slot?

Thanks!

Jenni

I'll do it

Jenni,

Sorry to hear about the scheduling conflict. I'd be happy to take your spot.

Mike

Thanks!

Thanks Mike. I really appreciate it.

Wednesday

Posted by jsimonis on July 18, 2012 at 8:26am

Well, things aren't done and I have to work again all day on Wednesday. Is there someone who could take my noon to 2 shift? I'm really hating having to miss OSCON and the Drupal table. I was really looking forward to it. :(

I signed up, tentatively.

Posted by nielsonm on July 18, 2012 at 4:00pm

If anyone else wants to work then, feel free, otherwise I'll stand in.

Help, last minute meeting may interfere!

Posted by jessehs on July 19, 2012 at 3:01am

After signing up to volunteer, a meeting was scheduled for me that may run until 3PM or later on Thursday. If I can't get out of it, I may miss my shift from 2-4PM at OSCON. :-(

If you can fill in for me, that would be great. I'm not positive that I can't skip this meeting, though, so this is just a heads-up... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can skip out of the meeting.

Comment here if you want to cover for me. I'll post back tomorrow morning as soon as I figure out what's going to happen.

Thanks!

Nevermind... thanks anyway
