A UK Party CRM Sprint

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

For those of us that have been to any Drupal Camp in the UK for the last year you'll probably notice a group of CRM Party people who have been going on about the Party module for some time. Things are taking off and we think it would be good to organise a dedicated Party Sprint as we move past the planning stage and into the coding like crazy stage.

Before I create the event I thought I'd give other the opportunity to get involved in discussing this. Should we make it co-incide with some other UK event? Does someone want to organise something for Munich?

I'm thinking the Sprint can involve:

  • http://drupal.org/node/1669828 - Working through the issues in the alpha release blocker list.
  • General discussion about Drupal and CRM
  • Some space for people to learn and experiment with Drupal's Various Native CRM iniatives.

Great to hear progress being made!

I'm organising a BAD Ass Drupal Weekender for during the Brighton Digital Festival in September.

Originally posted for 21/22/23 but moved back a week to coincide with the Drupal Global Training Day on 14 Sept so sessions on 15 and barcamp bit will be on 16 Sept.

More than welcome to support you - would be great to see you in Brighton again!

I won't be at Munich, but I

I won't be at Munich, but I could try and join in over skype/IRC.

As for a UK sprint, that would be ace!
I'll talk to my cohorts in Drupal Scotland, as we've been talking about hosting a sprint lately.

Me too

I'd be happy to attend a UK sprint too.

What space would you ideally need?

Our BAD Ass Weekender in brighton on 14/15/16 september is going to be much bigger and better! I'm currently organising further spaces around @theskiff we can use, it's a bit of an emerging hub of tech with a variety of firms (WiredSussex has 2,000 members & sure I heard somewhere 16,000+ freelancers in Brighton Area most in UK). What would be your ideal space?

I'll have a think about companies who could complement what you're trying to do here - at the end of the day Drupal has always been about the people, I think perhaps it would be good to get you connected to some people doing what you're doing IRL.

Could always set the bar high and ask Pure360...?!

words failing me a little today...

I did of course in no way mean you weren't doing this IRL, what I meant is I thought it might be good to be in an environment where people are doing things where your code will help, Pure360 are one of Brighton's success stories with "CRM". And they have lots of parties :D

But there are plenty of other companies with spaces around who may be able to help, or other types of venues, Brighton's Fringe festival is spread all over the city! (maybe we should have a fringe digital festival!)
