Count me in

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

All right, that makes seven of us so far. I didn't know about this group, and have just created one for Utah. I'll probably delete it.

Anyway, anyone working on installing modules and customizing Drupal 5? I'm starting on it, and we could share ideas and tips.

Cheers!

utah vs. slc

I am the original collector of folks for the Denver group and would advise you to just focus on Utah in general and not SLC specifically. Out here in these western states we need to be inclusive of folks who may live in cities an hour away (or 5) but still be willing to drive long distances to come to the meetings. I'm not regretting using "Denver" as the title and contemplating a change to Colorado.

If you all agree I'll publish the Utah group, move the posts from the SLC group into the Utah group, and delete the SLC group.

Cheers,
Greg

Utah works fine for me.

I'm an hour away from SLC but am more than willing to make the drive.

Denver is just a bit beyond my level of commitment ... thanks.

I'll talk to gotroot (SLC group manager)

If it works for gotroot, it's fine with me to merge both the groups -- I'm thinking there will be lot of Linux folks down in Provo too (at Novell or elsewhere), who are interested in Drupal. If we do that, I wonder if I can set gotroot as a group manager too. I'll wait for gotroot's comments. Thanks.

i'm fine with merging

let's merge the two groups... utah is more inclusive so that is fine with me. let me know what you would like for me to do next.

migrate posts - then we can merge

We need to decide what to do with all the posts and then migrate/merge them into one group. Once that's done we can delete the group. If one group already has more of the posts perhaps we can just delete the other.

That works for me. Does the Drupal Groups module have a feature to merge groups and/or posts?

yes, it does, but I forgot

Posted by greggles on June 26, 2007 at 2:18am

yes, it does, but I forgot about it until I edited them all by hand. oh well - I'll remember next time!

I also mailed everyone in the SLC group so that they know to come over here to the Utah group ;)
