Hi
I am installing drupal at http://drupal.des-us.com. It gives me the error that PDO is not enabled. I inquired with my web host, and it is enabled, which can be checked at http://web.des-us.com/test.php. They told me to contact the vendor. So why is drupal not installing here? I had installed it successfully some days before on the 26th of may.
I also have access to php.ini file, and I have checked that mbstring and pdo both are enabled.

try this
Make sure to run update.php. PDO errors sometime are generated by lack of update.
You can also place phpinfo.php inside the folder where site is located and see what exactly is in the PDO section.
Lastly, maybe increase PHP-memory limit.

run update where? drupal is not yet installed so I cannot run the update.php file there. I had deleted the previous installation, and uploaded anew the drupal files.

I have this in my php.ini file:
max_execution_time = 120 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 60 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
memory_limit = 20M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8MB)
I think 20M should be enough memory?

Sorry for being late to the party, but apart from PDO you also need a db-specific driver (pdo_mysql, pdo_sqlsrv, etc). Make sure that one is enabled too. Also, why test on separate domains?
