Accessible Drupal examples

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I would like to show my local county and library officials examples of government websites that are accessible and use Drupal. I am looking for full or partial ada compliance.

I surfed a City website in Florida that was partially accessible (it had "quick" or "fast" (?) links) but I can't find it again.

Thanks.

Government Websites

I couldn't find a city of Florida website, although using a clever Google search can pull up some very interesting results. Searching for libraries there is also useful.

Delicious is of course another great source. We track a few different threads of Drupal links on our Who Uses Drupal page.

Looking briefly at ADA and the Disability Info site, I don't see much more than WCAG & Section 508 Standards.

Hope you found your answer already though (as this is an old question I'm following up on).

Not a site, but perhaps a lead

I know of a few universities using Drupal (check out the Drupal in Education group if that seems promising), but no governments.

But if a government or government agency is serious about using Drupal, I'll bet Development Seed's Eric Gunderson knows of them. (If they don't know of him, they should become familiar with his accomplishments with the Nice Map module.)

No Question there. And the work they did with the UN is also terrific.

We've actually got several federal government clients here in Canada. Have done quite a bit of work to help build a Drupal theme that fits the branding of the established common look and feel.

One of the challenges of working with the government is that they are big enough that many sites are not written for public consumption (so that there is really nothing much to show).

There are a few listed here in this wiki:
