Using Services Module with SAP integeration

Services module is for different purpose. It allows other applications to communicate with drupal via different ways. So initiator of the connection is another system.

What you need is a "client" for your SAP system that pulls data from services that your SAP application provides.

Thanks a lot, but do you have any documentation or example for importing data from external sources using services module?

I know how to push data from Drupal to other external systems.. but I don't know how to take data from external systems to drupal using services API

any help please?

For importing data to drupal you should take a look at http://drupal.org/project/feeds or http://drupal.org/project/migrate modules. It has nothing to do with Services.

My understanding was that the Services module created service endpoints (REST, XMLRPC, JSON, JSON-RPC, SOAP, AMF) within the Drupal system rather than enabling communication in the opposite direction, does it also provide wrappers for php's SOAP functions etc to talk to other sites?

By the way I have created a module that syncs all data from SAP through RFCs
And it's working fine since more that 2 years
