Drupalcamp Colorado T-Shirt design and production

OK since we have several different lines of communication going, thought I'd start this discussion as a means for consolidating all that. Below is what I could glean from the various emails I received.

So far Kane Leins and I are working on design comps. Attheshow is handling the production. 1st round design proofs are to be posted by May 18, finals by May 29.

Are there any plans to make voting possible for the conference shirt as was done for the main logo last year and at Drupalcon DC?

The idea has been thrown around in the IRC, but I think the feeling was that it was too late and too much additional work. Perhaps we can just use a poll on our g.d.o. with people linking to artwork to review?

Those are great. I think my personal favorite is Comp #3. I like the "boot camp" feel to it. But is still looks fun.

Comped logos now on website and shirt. Also deleted "dirt" from logos on site and shirt comps for easier screen printing. I think the colors are close for the site

More comps for feedback

Based on feedback on my original comp, I've made some fixes and explored a little more. The fixes include matching the site font (Avenir), and matching site colors using Preston's color palette. Exploration includes various color combos, some more subtle than others, and incorporating the box element from the site. Compas are viewable at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenheim . I love them. Great changes.

I agree with Steph about the kerning on the letters if you can fix that.

Also, I'm planning to get stickers and based them on whatever design we choose for a shirt - anyone have ideas on how to tweak to make use of the medium?

Ken, I really like number 4. I like the idea of a dark green shirt, but it also makes great use of the existing color palette.

I vote for #4 on a dark green shirt. Also - for those of us on the squishier side, please have large or womens' plus sizes!

Looks really nice Ken! I like the dark shirt. Could we get a liiiiiittle more fine tuning on the kerning though so that the CA and RA aren't touching? The first part of the word COLORADO could probably be tightened up a touch too.

Looks like comp #4 has the most support.
So, now the question is how this is applied to the t-shirt. Other ideas are welcomed, but here are some options to start considering: 1) A minimalist option is to have it placed on the front (left breast area) ~ 3"W x 2"H, leaving the back blank. 2) Print it big on the front ~ 10"W x 7"H, leaving the back blank, like the Drupalcon DC shirt. 3) Print it big on the back with just text printed small on the left breast area, kind of like the Acquia Drupal t-shirt from Drupalcon. Other ideas welcomed.
