Facebook using activitystrea.ms

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this announcement (http://developers.facebook.com/news.php?blog=1&story=225) but I think it's a pretty important step in the right direction.

As for plans to have Activity module support the activitystrea.ms specification, ideas are still in the 'thinking-about-it' stage. With Views2 integration finally getting into 6.x-1.x-dev and already having it in 6.x-2.x-dev, I think this gives us a good start into trying to implement this. Views has the ability to output as RSS, but can we get some sort of row style or other means of outputting a stream of activities in the ATOM format specified at http://activitystrea.ms?

Any interest from anyone or offhand ideas on where we can start?
