Hello everybody.

I'm trying to use service 3 in drupal6. But I have some problems with it and there isn't any complete tutorial about how to create a service and to test it.

I have installed the module without any problem, I added a new service, and I added some resources to it, but I can't access to that service using the browser, all I get is "not found" error.
I tried to access using:
http://hostname/drupal6/services/endpoint/
But the directory services doesn't exist. Did I need to create it?

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what. Can anybody help me? How can I test the service? Did I miss any step in the installation?

Thank you in advance

"But the directory services doesn't exist. Did I need to create it?"

Sorry to say but it's best to hire a professional Drupal guy or start with something less ambitious perhaps.

Learning REST/Services is not easy. But you can take a look at http://drupanium.org/api to see some valid URIs maybe it can point you in the right direction.

Hi smerino ! I'm very newbie like you that's trying to run D6 + Services 3.x. I'm still working on that but I can answer you. In order to use this services (base on resource) you must go to the services (on the site building menu) and create one services. Base on what kind servers do you choose, what is path do you want from new created service, you can call a url like http://hostname/drupal6/services/endpoint/ with "endpoint" is the path of your new services.

You can follow this : https://github.com/hugowetterberg/services-3.x-sample to create a simple note resource and that contains the js client to communicate with web services but you must change a little bit in code because this sample is based on D7. You can use both js client from this sample or use the Poster plugin firefox to communicate with WS.

Hope this will help you
