Who wants to be a mentor? (ME!!)

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

On the recommendation of Alex UA, I'm creating this post to generate a list of potential mentors for the 2009 GSoC. If you're interested in signing up, please post a comment in this discussion.

I'd like to become a mentor! So far, the calendar project intrigues me the most (http://groups.drupal.org/node/19409).

Wikis and signups

Posted by alex ua on March 11, 2009 at 2:27pm

Maybe it's just me, but I hate using wikis for signups. For one thing, I can't get notified each time the wiki is updated (or at least not in a way that makes it easy to figure out who signed up for what). There's also the possibility of people getting mistakenly deleted, which would suck.

As long as it's related to Version Control API or Transformations, I'm definitely in. Yah, might even do the backup mentor on some other project as well. I'm all yours!

Yes

Posted by boris mann on March 16, 2009 at 6:22pm

I thought I said yes somewhere else already, but for reference, "yes". I'm usually more of a backup in any case.

Xano asked me to mentor him on this Vocabulary Index 3 proposal. We met at Drupalcon DC where we presented with Catch and Benjamin Melançon the "Taxonomy Revisited" jump-start session.

I'd be very happy to mentor Xano, so please add me to the list of volunteers. If there are other taxonomy-specific projects, I'm happy to talk about those too.

I would be very interested

I would be very interested in mentoring for the GSoC 2009.

I'm not sure if I'm too late because submission deadline is so near. But I'm glad to be a mentor if there's still time.
