I only ask because there is an increasing pileup of issues and requests on the Boost issue queue (http://drupal.org/project/issues/boost?categories=All), but the last updates to the module itself were in April (6.x-1.x-dev and 7.x-1.x-dev). The last stable release was 6.x-1.18, getting to be nearly 2 years ago; there is no stable release for D7.
This is an incredibly useful module, and, unlike with WordPress (where there are several competing plug-ins that do basically the same thing), it's the only one of its kind for Drupal that I know of. The problems are especially acute for D7, since the release isn't considered stable, has dropped some important features from D6, and doesn't work fully with some very promising D7 modules (such as Workbench).
But the issues I'm starting to run into (problems with invalidating cache on load balanced web servers and when using Workbench) are making me consider dropping it and installing a proxy cache in front of the web server (which isn't an option for everyone).

Not at the moment
Avoiding burnout by doing one project at a time. Current project is My fork of the ESI module. This has panels support and AJAX support as well.
The main issue is my work doesn't need boost fixes as bad as it needs other things. I've been splitting off bits of boost into sub modules http://drupal.org/node/1321652#comment-5179658. Once that is complete I could see a 2.x release but that's not going to happen until next year at the earliest.
We are going to start to use D7 at my work so the 7.x branch should get some love in time for Christmas.
Thanks
Thanks for the response Mike, I know you comment actively but wasn't sure if you were still working on Boost. I totally understand about burnout and needing to focus on what your day job requires. :)
Edge Side Includes looks awesome... I'll be keeping an eye on that too. :)
