I am glad things are progressing so well. I should have a little more time for drupal activities in the near future and will do my best to help.

The logo looks awesome, much better and "campier" than anything i would have thought of.
I contacted threads of compassion about printing some t-shirts for us, he's going to get back to me by the end of today. I also asked them about placing their logo, or a "Printed by ..." on the rear of the t-shirts hoping to get a lower price. I will get 40 of them printed and they'll probably be able to be sold for 8ドル or 10ドル at the front. what sizes and how many of each should i purchase? i was thinking maybe 5 M, 15 L, 15 XL and 5 XXL
also they will either be printed on white or teal [the same color as the bg in the logo].

Update on T-Shirts

Posted by bladwin on January 21, 2009 at 6:49pm

Printed on white t's with their [ Threads of Compassion ] logo on the lower back (measuring about 5" x5"), 40 shirts is about 150ドル. without their logo on the back it was about 250ドル. i was also wondering if we wanted to include the logos of all of our sponsors on the back of it, "Fueled by: starbucks, jason's deli, izea, mind comet, lullabot, packt publishing, etc ... also, if Right Sprocket, and Polish Your Image wanted to split the printing cost of the shirts, that could be one of the many ways available to contribute to Drupal Camp.

let me know if we want to include all of our sponsors on the back so i can collect the logos and put them together.

Hope to hear some feedback from everyone, 'cause i may have overlooked a great idea.

How much will it cost per shirt? The point is not to profit, but not to lose money. If we order 40 of them but only sell 25, you should still get your money back, you know? Maybe we can donate any surplus to the Drupal Association...!

Cost of shirts

Posted by bladwin on January 22, 2009 at 5:24pm

I figure that if we sold them for 10ドル each we would be able to get the money that was spent for 40 shirts after selling 15 of them. also, at 10ドル each we wouldn't need to make change. i had also thought about selling them for 5ドル each, but then we would need to sell 30 of them to recoup the money. all-in-all, I've come to the conclusion that 10ドル for each shirt is a decent price [because its lower than nearly 20ドル after shipping on cafe press] and also gives us a better chance to receive what we put into getting them printed.

I'll buy one :)

go for it

Erik,

Let's keep things simple - go with the plan as it - don't worry about adding sponsors to the shirts (except for Threads of Compassion). RightSprocket is already committed to sponsoring chairs and signs, and I have some other stuff in mind for Polish Your Image.

Thanks for taking care of all this!

Silk-screen friendly image

Posted by duckydan on November 6, 2009 at 1:40pm

For a t-shirt, here is the logo carefully made with only four colors.

Black (spot)
Gray
Lime
Turquoise

This should make getting silk-screening done cheaper and easier.

It is an Illustrator file (embedded in a PDF so anyone should be able to open it).
