Time again for our monthly meetup. It will be held on the 11th floor of the Walker Center (Walker Center, 200 S. Main St., Salt Lake City, UT). Signs will be placed to direct you on how to get up to the conference room we will be in. You can park in the Walker Center parking garage (it will cost about 4ドル) or at the Carl's Jr. (if you purchase something). If you ride TRAX you can get off at the Gallivan Center station (the Walker Center is about a block north of that station). Both the Sandy (blue) and West Valley (greeen) lines go to this station.
If anyone has something they would like to share with the group please let us know. We don't yet have a presenter or a topic.
Food will be provided so please make sure to signup for the event so that we have enough for everyone. Thanks.
UPDATE: @dharmatech plans on presenting on views hooks with some show in tell from recent projects.
UPDATE2: We will be having a conversation (maybe some presentation too) about creating a mobile site using Drupal.

exploring views hooks
We could present (30 min, or more if needed) on cool things you can do with views hooks with a few specific examples we've implemented recently.
That sound sinteresting
I think a good views discussion would be great. I know that I have found views very difficult at times to implement. I'm up for anything that helps me gain the great love for it that seems to abound in the general Drupal community. Why don't you plan on a 30 minute presentation for now to allow anyone else to share something. If no one else has anything they want to share you are welcome to go longer. Thanks again for your willingness to contribute.

See everyone soon. We're just
See everyone soon. We're just gonna meet out front and come in together. If you show up more than 10 to 15 minutes late then my number will be on the door so you can call me.
agenda
This will be a Views heavy meetup. Take notes, we'll be covering some cool topics.
Here's the agenda for this evening:
tyjamessmith: mobile web
dharmatech: hacking views (relationships, hooks, templates)
sam1am: views content panes and arguments
jtsnow: views plugins
great meetup
Good to see the new faces, hopefully we didn't scare them away with Views talk. It was cool to see the views content panes presentation by @sam1am and demonstrating how panels doesn't suck. @tyjamessmith and @jeremyr gave inspiration for those who dare face the daunting task of a mobile friendly site. :)
@jeremyr, please post your slidedeck.

Okay... it's actually pretty lame. It wasn't built in Drupal, what can I do?

Food
I feel I should apologize for the lack of food last night. I realized, albeit later than I should have, that I hadn't planned anything and then started thinking about what I should bring. I didn't want to be the weird Rumbi guy and litterally couldn't think of what else would work. We are too small of a group to do Cafe Rio or someplace like that for catering. My wife did suggest 150 Chicken McNuggets but that just seemed lame to me. It wasn't until I was almost there that I thought of pizza but I was already running late.
So, to avoid this in the future (I'm nothing if I can't learn from my mistakes), are there any suggestions for the future? If not I'm going to be that weird Rumbi person and you will just get to deal with that.
On a related note, do we want to try to meetup sponsors so we can plan on having food moving forward? We have enough for October and November meetups to have food but then the budget runs dry.
