August or September meetup?

September is nearly over, are we still planning on having a D.O. meetup somewhere?

I could go for another meetup. Been a while.... I am good any day but Tuesdays.

Wednesday or Friday would be best for me. Friday might be better, because Wed is tomorrow :) Another option would be to just plan an October meetup. I hadn't planned anything because no one had responded, so I thought I'd try again in October.

What do you guys think? Should we try for Friday, or should we set up something in October?

Lets shoot for October sometime. I think between now and the end of the month I am pretty covered up.

October works for me, maybe a Wednesday evening thing -- Panera sounds fine, though I'm open to anywhere.

Is this an official Drupal meetup, with an agenda / complete with presentations of our latest Drupal sites? Or like a meet-n'-greet type of thing?

Last time it was more of a meet n greet, but that was our first time- if there is interest, I would love to do a show n tell style meeting. What do you guys think?

Panera is fine by me- they have Internet, I think we have a small enough group we could just bring laptops and show off if we want to, unless someone has a projector...

How about the middle of the month, say, the 14th, if everyone wants to do a Wednesday? Do we want to do lunch, or would another time work better?

Evenings would be better for me as I'm coming from Branson. Also it would be nice to have more time to share and talk.

Show in tell would be nice. Anyone looking for anything specific?

If we get a decent amount of people to show up for this perhaps Panera isnt the best choice. We probably need to find some place that has room for a group. Especially if we have a load of people bringing laptops. I'm not sure what that choice would be. The Library Center wouldn't be bad however, they close at 5:30pm. If we are doing an evening some where we probably need to look around for a good location to meet that provides a room for a small group with internet access.

Ideas???

The Panera on National has a meeting room, it would be large enough to hold us. Another option is Pasta Express on republic- he has 2 meeting rooms there, a small one and a very large one.

I wasn't too enthusiastic with the final result of that co-working start-up (The Creative Foundry) so I won't be a monthly member, however; they will have conference rooms and the guy in charge says he's willing to make special deals / accommodations. They have officially opened for business but the conference rooms aren't ready yet; I'll try to get more details tomorrow.

When?

We spent too much time on this question last time (lol). I think the interest gain is on pace to set up a once-a-month date if we can find one that works for all of us.
I'm good anytime Mon-Fri after 5PM.

Lets talk about where/who/how we will host our organizing site at this meeting. I'm already thinking:
-Send email reminders to go (I know need I this!)
-Our What we know / Want to know lists

Mon-Sat after 5:30 (Wed not ideal but possible) are my available times till the new year at least.

I suppose we can also plan out how to best deal with scheduling on this website. I haven't done research into modules out there that deal with this or if there are other good tools to help figure out best times.

Okay, if carwin or anyone else is not strongly in favor of Wednesday, lets do Thursday- how about the 15th of October at 7:00PM at the Panera on National- If it is agreeable, I'll call and see if the meeting room is available- if that doesn't work out, I'll call Matt at Pasta Express (Republic Road) and see if we can do it there. Unless anyone is strongly in favor of something else, I'll call tomorrow.

I'll start a wiki page with an agenda that you guys can edit. I'll also start one to list ideas for meetings- a section for possible locations, one for what we know, one for what we want to know, and other.

I think we can use the Drupal Groups events feature to setup reminders- if someone signs up for an event, do they get a reminder? (I've never used it before- if anyone else has, please let me know if that is how it works).

Sounds pretty good, it'll be interesting to meet some other Drupal guys in the area. Isn't the 15th of October a Saturday? I'm guessing you mean Thursday the 13th?

I contacted Pasta Express and scheduled the small meeting room for 7:00PM on Thursday 13th October.
