I love the difference in names.

Then, there's http://drupal.org/project/better_formats and http://drupal.org/project/preferred_format, which are both supposed to be improvements over the first two listed above.

I also love how they're both really misnamed as it's a default input format, not filter, that they set. ;)

There's also http://drupal.org/project/filterbynodetype which isn't a total dupe but could probably be rolled in to one master module as well.

Better Formats was created to replace and expand upon these modules:

These modules do not work together well and all have issues that are hopefully solved with Better Formats.
