Greetings North County Group! I am a new member and new to Drupal. I am the Webmaster of the Social Services Agency at Orange County. We are currently exploring putting our Intranets on Drupal 7.0 On Windows Server 8 and IIS 7.5, using PHP 5.3, MS SQL Server 2008. Most of the documentation I have read pertains to Drupal on Apache using other databases. Does anyone have any experience on this particular platform?
Thanks

Lucky for you...
There has been alot of development on this as of recent...
See: http://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/install.aspx?appsxml=&appid=AcquiaD...
and for a MsSQL friendly IDE and setup see: http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/
That's as far as I'm will to talk about that subject though... as I like Microsoft about as much as I like the sound of nails scratching across a chalkboard. I'm glad they are trying to get into supporting Drupal regardless of their agenda... it opens it up to one more technology and a whole large amount of people looking to Drupal as a possibility.
Good Luck!
