Here are the results of running our whole test suite on PostgreSQL 8.3.

  • Actions configuration 30 passes, 8 fails, 0 exceptions
    See http://drupal.org/node/261859
  • Block functionality 57 passes, 1 fail, 0 exceptions
    No known issue (yet!)
  • Blog API functionality 45 passes, 2 fails, 1 exception
    No known issue (yet!)
  • Search engine ranking 21 passes, 5 fails, 20 exceptions
    See http://drupal.org/node/296624
  • Module list functionality 53 passes, 4 fails, 0 exceptions
    No known issue (yet!)

Some of them may be solved or easier to solve once the PDO patch will land. Anyway, please help us fix Drupal on PostgreSQL!

CalebD ran tests on postgres with the PDO patch, will copy here:

Search engine ranking (crashes)
System: module list functionality - 4 fails
Statistics: 10 fails

So a decent improvement.

It's currently not possible to run tests on postgres, at all, due to: http://drupal.org/node/229129

User tests
4 test cases complete:
23 passes, 28 fails and 0 exceptions.

Yikes. I'm googling mysql installation instructions.
Fishing through layers of functions is not fun.

What is this pdo thing? I'm a new friend to drupal.
