Bonjour,
Nouveau dans votre 'monde', programmeur-analyste depuis 25 ans (argh), je viendrais bien volontier !
Où, quelle heure... je suis près de Gaillac et termine vers 17h30 le boulot...
ps: en France depuis peu je ne connais pas 'bien' toulouze... bref que des questions pratiques quoi!

Bonjour,

Le lieu n'est pas encore fixé, mais ce sera probablement un bar du centre ville (on attend de savoir combien on est avant de préciser).
Concernant l'heure, on commencera vers 18h30 / 19h (after-work, quoi), et ça se prolongera tant que les gens auront envie de (se) parler ;-)

Bon, on sera au moins une quinzaine, donc faut un bon gros bar... En plus, je suis ce soir en congés (et absent du net) jusqu'à mercredi soir, du coup... Je compte sur une bonne âme pour décider à ma place :-D.

J'apprécierai un truc central, si possible sur une ligne de métro. Je ne connais pas les bars qui ont des grandes tables : Mulligan's à St Michel ?

I suggest something even more central near metro, where 2 metro lines meet, near station Jean Jaurese, cafe Connexion.

Good point, but music usually starts later on, so we are safe to start there. If later on music turns out to be too loud we can always move somewhere more quiet.

For you who will Drive to Toulouse, good option is to park in a Metro Car Park, its just off the motorway:

than take metro to Toulouse

Parking is free if you use metro, just use your metro ticket when you drive out.

Just to mention that we're looking for some freelance web developers. It's a telecommute position primarily, however we live a couple of hours from Toulouse (in Quillan, between Carcassonne and Perpignan), so it would be great if someone was more local, so we could meet up once or twice a month to discuss projects.

Waiting for the email from Simon to keep everyone in touch, I have a few email to add, people that arrived/stayed later at the bar.

Next steps :
plan the next meetup (next month or in june ?)
find volunteers that are ready to show some slides next time :)
bar was ok (enough room, possible to use video) but beer is quite expensive here, try another one ?
push the idea of a drupcamp in Toulouse
